| Technology | iUtilities™ uses many of the most powerful tools available for the Web. iUtilities™ is powered by Microsoft®  Active Server Pages (ASP) which is a server-side scripting environment that allows creation and presentation of dynamic, interactive Web sites. The data is managed using Microsoft® ActiveX® Data Objects (ADO) to access and manipulate data from a database server making it possible for iUtilities™ to work with multiple databases. Data is processed into XML and presented using XSLT style templates. Extensible Markup Language (XML) is the universal format for data on the Web. XML allows structured data to be used by any application in a standard, consistent way. XSLT is a high-level declarative language to transform and format XML data for presentation. XSLT makes it easy to change how the data is displayed. |
